How do you like my play pose? For those who haven't
met me yet, my name is Maika, also known as, Malaika
(angel) Batsheba Mae, and I am the dawg of this
family. I belong to the African Lion Hound family, or like
some humans call us, Rhodesian Ridgebacks. I'm
gracious, slick and just plain beautiful. I was
Cleopatra in my former life; guess I wasn't too nice,
since I ended up as a dog in this one. Well, what can
you do? I still kept my beauty.

I was born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 17th,
2003, the smallest puppy of my litter and now almost fully-grown I weight 80 lbs. I can sit, talk, lie down and give lots of kisses (of course I will do these things much faster if I get a treat or dog biscuit).

Sometimes (most of the time) when my dad is having
trouble waking up in the mornings, I help him by
washing his face really, really clean with my tongue.
I guess I'm trying to imitate my mother, my dear mother, who kisses ME on the lips every morning before she goes to work.

Anyway, the rest of my talents and attributes you will
find out when you meet me, but please hurry, so we can
play hide-and-seek, because my parents are too easy to
find when we play.
